South African Short Film Competition - Canada

Call for Short Film Entries

Open: July 20, 2009 thru January 20, 2010

 
Download, Print and mail the completed entry form with your short film entry and the entrance fee "proof of payment".
  • Films must not exceed 40 minutes in length and must be at least one minute long
    (including front and back credits)
  • There is no limit to the number of entries that you may submit.
  • Each entry requires a separate DVD, entry form and entrance fee.

Film and Video Formats for Submission

  • Entries must be 1 to 40 minutes in length on DVD  regardless of original shooting format.
  • Entries submitted on foreign DVDs, MUST be sent playable (formatted) for Region Code 1 (North America) or Region Code 0 (Universal).
  • Entries submitted in a foreign language must have subtitles OR be dubbed in English.

  • Entry fees are in SA Rands, CDN or US Dollars

Early Entry Deadline:

 

  • Entries postmarked by October 20, 2009 or earlier!
  • Entry Fee: R150.00, $25 (CDN) OR $20 (USD)

    • Entry Fee: R200.00, $30 (CDN), $25 (USD)

    Late Entry Deadline :

    • Entries postmarked by January 20, 2010 or earlier!
    • Entry Fee: R300.00, $40 (CDN), OR $35 (USD)

    South African Short Film Competition Submission Payments
    Payments made on or before October 20, 2009 are 25.00 Canadian or 150 Rand.

    • Payments made between October 21, 2009 and December 20, 2009 are
      30.00 Canadian or 200 Rand.
    • Late payments made after December 20 are
      40.00 Canadian or 300 Rand.
